Hyve Completes NextH2GEN Project: Paving the Way for Scalable Hydrogen Solutions

We are excited to announce the successful completion of the NextH2GEN project, executed under NextGenerationEU with the support of the Belgian FOD Economie, a major step forward in our mission to accelerate green hydrogen production through innovative alkaline electrolysis technology.

Over the past two and a half years, Hyve has focused on three key pillars in the development of membranes and electrodes for alkaline water electrolysis: improving performance, ensuring reliable integration, and enabling scalable manufacturing.

The project delivered significant progress in all these areas:
– We developed and demonstrated our advanced membranes and electrodes in real-world conditions, proving its readiness for practical applications.
– We successfully scaled up production processes for both membranes and electrodes, achieving larger formats while maintaining strict quality standards.
– We designed and built the foundation for future industrial-scale manufacturing, creating a clear roadmap for further growth.

These achievements open exciting opportunities for the next phase: bringing our technology from pilot scale to full industrial deployment. By combining efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability, Hyve is well positioned to play a leading role in making green hydrogen a cornerstone of the energy transition.

What’s next?
Hyve will continue to build on these results, refining our technology and preparing for large-scale production to meet the growing demand for sustainable hydrogen solutions.
