Hyve was founded in 2021 as an early-stage venture by a group of world-class R&D and industrial partners, recognized as global leaders in their respective fields. Hyve unites renowned research centers such as imec and VITO with leading industrial players including John Cockerill, Bekaert, DEME, and Vlaamse Energie Holding.

Hyve is committed to developing cost-efficient, gigawatt-scale green hydrogen production. Hyve’s mission is to accelerate the decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries by delivering next-generation membranes and electrodes for alkaline water electrolysis based on nanoporous materials.
