Catalyzing green hydrogen

Clean energy solution

This is where Hyve
steps in

Next level technology

Hydrogen is an increasingly important piece of the net zero emissions puzzle that has to become reality by 2050. Yet, achieving its full capacity requires cost-efficient and sustainable large-scale production.

We accelerate the decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries by delivering next-generation membranes and electrodes specifically designed for alkaline water electrolyser cell stacks. By co-developing membranes and electrodes through overlapping process technologies, we unlock powerful synergies that push the boundaries of electrolysis performance.

At the core of our breakthrough is nanoporous electrolysis technology, which achieves significantly higher output and efficiency compared to conventional systems. Unlike traditional approaches, our solutions eliminate the reliance on costly noble metals such as platinum and iridium, making green hydrogen production economically viable and even more sustainable.

Together, these advances define a new era of electrolysis, one that merges cutting-edge science with real-world impact, enabling scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable hydrogen production.

Cutting-edge technology

The aim of Hyve is re-imaging the heart of the electrolyzer from first principles with one guiding light – minimize the Levelized Cost of renewable Hydrogen (LCOH). Hyve develops innovative electrolyzer components based on the combination of 2 nano-engineered materials.

Cutting planetary impact

Today, the production of grey hydrogen created through steam methane reforming is responsible for around 4% of global CO₂ emissions. With over 100 million tonnes of hydrogen used each year, the opportunity for change is immense. Our mission is to drive the energy transition by replacing this carbon-intensive process with cleaner alternatives, delivering the greatest possible impact in reducing global emissions.
